What are the health risks of low or high BMI?

Is BMI accurate for athletes?
Not really. Athletes have dense muscle tissue, so BMI often reads 'overweight' even with low body fat. Muscular individuals should rely on body-fat %, waist size, and waist-to-hip ratio instead — treat BMI as a rough reference only.
